The Totems for Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail visualise statistics on decline of UK wildlife. Three species from the Forest were chosen for their once-iconic, and now-declining, status.

Since 1970: The population of the hedgehog has declined by 95%.

Since 1970: The population of the wild rabbit has declined by 60%.

Since 1960: The population of the common toad has declined by 65%.

Simultaneously, the population of homo sapiens has doubled.
